  1. I like the Villain category. Great choice for this year too. The foreign category seems a bit unnecessary at times though, when the same film already wins best film and director - but I suppose at other times it's a nice way to sneak in a second best film, sort of.

    1. The idea was to provide a comparison to the Oscars, so that's where most of the categories come from (like Foreign Film, even for years when the Academy didn't award one, like this one). Like with most of the awards, it's more interesting when you add in the nominees, like I do for these things now.

      I went away from the MTV-type categories like Best Villain. The only non-traditional ones I've kept are the Best Soundtrack and Best Unseen Film ones.

  2. Yeah, the ones with nominations are great, but also love the ones with a top list and write-ups.

    I can see why you'd go away from those, but in this era it's a nice way to recognize some great character actors that you otherwise might not, esp. without the nominations.
